Why not visit one of the most iconic museums in the world, the Olympic Museum? Located in Lausanne, Switzerland, it is a museum that holds the history of the Olympics. There are multiple parts to the museum, each taking the visitor through different eras of the Olympics. The ancient Olympics will be interesting to some visitors. Others may prefer more recent history, like the last fifty or so years. The museum is state-of-the-art and a visitor can compete against virtual athletes. Basketball was invented in 1891 by James Naismith in Springfield, Massachusetts. Nowadays, there is a museum dedicated to the history of basketball, in the same city. The National Football Museum is located in Manchester, England. It covers all the known history of football, from ancient times to modern day football. There are many trophies in this museum, not to mention relics from the world of football. The museum is free to visit, which means a lot to the football fans, particularly those who find themselves in the UK.

Wimbledon Tennis Museum

Wimbledon is known as the greatest Grand Slam in the history of tennis, and probably the most important grand slam out of the 4. It is only fitting that one of the best tennis museums should be in Wimbledon. The museum has relics from the past three centuries, and not just the recent years, making it a great place for a tennis fan.
