Learning about history and culture has become pretty easy. One only needs internet connection and they can start learning. However, not everybody enjoys learning that way. Some people prefer to learn by experience, through visual and aural stimuli. No, not listening to a lecture and watching it, but rather, going to a museum.

Museums can be found everywhere in the world. Each country has at least a couple of interesting museums which can tell us a lot about the history of the said country and region. The US has a lot of museums. Here are the most interesting ones, the ones that you should definitely visit when in the US.

The American Museum of Natural History in New York

Some museums are simply famous. This museum is one of them. Being a natural history museum, you can expect to find fossils and bones of various animals, ancient and relatively new. There are many dinosaur skeletons, preserved in perfect condition. It was founded in 1869 and it was the go-to place for the people of New York if they wanted to see a dinosaur.

The Kennedy Space Center in Titusville, Florida

The Kennedy Space Center is a work of art in itself. For those who want to see outer space and explore it live, head to Titusville, Florida, a place otherwise known as the Space Coast. Shuttles and rockets are up for exploration, not to mention stargazing, depending on the time of day you visit the museum. They even have a program where one can meet an astronaut. 

Getty Center in Los Angeles

The Getty Center is an adventure of its own. Firstly, getting to the Getty Center requires a vehicle or somebody patient enough to do a long trek to get there. Nested in the hills, it is a museum devoted to art. It has works of art belonging to artists such as Rembrandt, Van Gogh, Ensor, Monet and many more. The best thing about the museum is that there is no price of admission. One does need to pay for their parking spot, but that is more than made up by the exhibits and history found in the museum. 

The Smithsonian Air and Space Museum in Washington D.C.

The Air and Space museum is a dream come true. It has aircraft and spacecraft from various time periods. It is a great museum for everybody who has their eyes glued to the skies. The price of admission is free, which is true for all Smithsonian museums. 

The Art Institute of Chicago

This is a huge museum which has hundreds of thousands of exhibits. It is in a great location, in Millenium Park, making it an easy target for tourists and visitors. It has exhibits from modern to ancient times and is a must visit for anybody interested in art.
