What makes the Campbell Center unique?

 

Our courses are designed for various experience levels; training is available for beginners to experienced mid-career professionals.

 

The Campbell Center is well known in the field of preservation education.  Our collections care program is supported in part through a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities. Students and instructors have come from all over the world.  More than 1,100 institutions have been represented at the Campbell Center.

 

Unlike distance learning and internet courses, our workshops provide intensive hands-on training.  We make available the tools, equipment, materials, and sample artifacts so that every procedure or method can be thoroughly understood and physically practiced.

 

Our course tuition includes lodging and most meals, as well as everything that is needed for the workshop. 

 

By taking courses at the Campbell Center, you will have the opportunity to meet and network with other professionals from across the country.  Our instructors are very approachable and dedicated to providing quality training.  Most will continue to be available to you for advice long after the course has ended.

 

Courses are small; most have a maximum enrollment of 12.  Every workshop participant is given personalized instruction and individual needs can usually be addressed.

 

The Campbell Center courses give you training that can be an asset to you when looking for employment.  Give yourself the advantage of having this practical hands-on learning experience. 

 

The Campbell Center now offers academic credits for many of its courses. Optional college credit may be received for many Campbell Center courses through our partnership with Walsh University of North Canton, Ohio.  An additional fee applies.

 

Last but not least, the Campbell Center is an enjoyable experience!  Located in the picturesque rolling hills of northwest Illinois, the campus provides a quiet place to escape the hustle and bustle of busy lives, and provides focus to study the subjects that inspire.
